This is the prototype banjo for a new and exciting development at Menzies Instruments. The hand forged hardware is made by a master blacksmith.  The shoes wrap around the 1/4” maple rim and provide just the right amount of weight to the rim and adjustable tension to the skin to create a banjo that has a tremendous tonal range and projection. 
This banjo has a presentation grade 26” scale blue mahoe neck. Bone tail piece and nut. Purple Heart pegs. Old southern pine bridge.
